Delegation of IT companies to the USA

With the presence of the president of the Chamber and representative of Global Services of the Uruguay XXI Institute, the delegation of 14 companies will leave next Saturday to San Francisco and Miami.

The business mission organized by Cuti is made up of a delegation of technology companies that will participate for the first time with a Country Pavilion in one of the largest technology fairs in the world, TechCrunch Disrupt.

The mission is supported by Uruguay XXI, which will partially subsidize the commercial activities in Miami through its ProExport Program and the participation in TechCrunch through the SmartServices program.

The companies that will integrate it are: Abstracta, Monkop (Abstracta), Datalab, Flokzu (Integradoc), Impactus, Infuy, Kreitech, Smartlabs (Kreitech), Make it work, MVD Consulting, OneTree, Portlike, Pragma consultants, Pyxis, Idhata (Pyxis), Rmotr.com and Tools Tecnología.

 

San Francisco Activities

  • Welcome Dinner with businessmen based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Uruguayan entrepreneurs and friends of Uruguay based in the San Francisco Bay Area will be invited to the dinner in order to generate synergies between these actors. At the dinner, David Liu (Co-Founder at EVA Automation, CEO at Liucrative Endeavors, President at La Mesa Capital and Strategic Consultant Jefferies, a division of Leucadia National Corporation), will give a short talk on the state of the technology business. Frank Baxter will also be present as a special guest.
  • TechCrunch Disrupt SF 2015 is an excellent opportunity to expand the network of contacts, achieve business objectives, form strategic alliances and position themselves before the main players in the technology community. Participants will be able to attend conferences given by specialists in various topics related to entrepreneurship and new technologies.
  • After TechCrunch party with Latam companies. Participation in an important event organized by LatinSF, export promotion agencies of Latam and Cuti. This event will be attended by a large number of Brazilian, Mexican and Argentinean companies that will participate in TechCrunch. It is a unique opportunity to expand the network of contacts with Latin American companies. LatinSF is an initiative of the government of San Francisco and the San Francisco Center for Economic Development (SFCED), to boost business relations between the Californian city and Latin America.

 

Miami Activities

In Miami, the agenda will include several visits to the most thriving hubs:

  • Beacon Council is the entry point for companies that want to set up or invest in Miami. During this exclusive meeting with the directors of the center we will understand how is the process of setting up in Miami, how to obtain market information, immigration and legal technical assistance and other advantages for investors.
  • TheLab is a Co Work space in Miami's new art district, recognized for being supported by the founder of Square and the Knight Foundation. As such, it attracts an interesting diversity of startups looking for services and technology providers. We will visit the center and talk with entrepreneurs and managers of the complex. TheLab also has one of the main Wyncode training centers in the area.
  • WeWork is the largest network of coworking centers operating in Israel, USA, Holland and England. With more than 30,000 members in its community, it is an interesting opportunity to set up an office in the United States and do business within the network itself at a low cost.
  • Venture Hive is one of the area's leading accelerators and the only Microsoft Innovation Center in the United States. It selects 25 candidates annually to participate in its acceleration and mentoring program and has the best positioned network of coaches and influencers in South Florida.
  • Meeting with business leader. In the framework of the Perez Art Museum, we will have a talk with YudaSayudn, president of Venture Hive and recognized technology entrepreneur in Latin America. Yuda will explain how to take advantage of Miami as an entry point for business in the USA.
