The region's largest software testing and quality event will take place in a 100% online format to connect more people from anywhere.
The main objective of this event is to generate a space for exchange and dialogue between specialists and those interested in the field of testing. This year the bet will be to continue expanding the audience in the region, and there is a novelty: a challenge with important prizes. The call for proposals for talks and workshops is open, as well as the call for those interested in participating as sponsors of the event.
About TestingUy
TestingUy 2021 is organised by Claudia Badell(Jigso Labs), Guillermo Skrilec(QAlified), Gustavo Guimerans(Software Test Centre) and a team of 9 collaborators.
TestingUy has already held six editions in person, which were attended by more than 3,000 people. Within the framework of this event, 90 talks and webinars, 39 workshops and 5 round tables have been held. Attendees have crossed national borders, participating in the activity from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Paraguay and Peru, among others.
Year by year it has evolved and grown in the number of participants and proposals. In addition, the scope of last year's activity has spread to a greater number of countries around the world, with international exhibitors.
The 2020 experience
After six consecutive editions, TestingUy had to suspend its event in 2020 due to the already known situation. But this did not prevent activities from continuing to move forward.
15 webinars were organised with the participation of keynote speakers from previous editions of TestingUy as well as other prominent speakers from the region and the world. Interaction on the YouTube channel grew significantly, reaching more than 1,200 subscribers and more than 5,000 views during 2020.
Open calls for sponsors and speakers
One of the premises of this event is that it is completely free for attendees. In order to maintain this spirit, TestingUy is supported by sponsors and sponsors who make financial contributions and dissemination.
Consolidated as the largest testing event in the region, TestingUy 2021 is looking for companies interested in joining as sponsors, contributing to the growth of the testing community and also obtaining great visibility during the course of the event. On the event's website you can find the terms and conditions to participate as a sponsor of this activity. There are five different sponsorship plans with different benefits for the sponsoring companies.
In addition, the call for proposals for talks and workshops on topics related to testing and software quality is open until 23 May. Talks will have a duration of 30 minutes, while workshops may last 2 hours. Lightning talks, lasting 10 minutes, will also be included.
The latter format seeks the communication of a concrete idea that invites thought, inspires the audience or is a motivator for change. Submissions are invited from other areas related to testing, such as leadership, team management, recruitment, marketing, business skills, industry trends, among others.
In early June the TestingUy team will notify applicants as to which of the proposals for talks, workshops and lightning talks are accepted. The application form for those interested in giving talks and workshops is available on the TestingUy website.
