ISBEL in the top 10 of the best places to work in Uruguay in 2021 according to Great Place to Work

In its 2021 edition, Great Place to Work® (GPTW) recognized ISBEL as one of the top 10 best places to work in Uruguay in 2021 for companies with up to 150 people.

The ranking was announced last March 18th and ISBEL ranked ninth in a list made up of prestigious local and international companies.

 

"This recognition gives us great comfort and is a reflection of the work of several years promoting a culture of horizontal communication, teamwork and internal growth opportunities for our employees," said Jessica Araújo, Corporate Manager of Human Resources at ISBEL.

 

"This year we participated in this evaluation that has so much international recognition in order to be able to take a new look at all the work we have been doing. It was a great experience that also gave us the opportunity to evaluate ourselves in the context of the market and to learn new things to continue making ISBEL a better place to work every day," he added.

 

The methodology for choosing the best

It is worth noting that the methodology used by GPTW to establish which are the best places to work is through opinion surveys in which the employees of each of the organizations are consulted.

 

The surveys are based on 60 standardized questions that analyze your experience working there, taking into account the characteristics of each workplace, such as size, workforce composition and the industry in which you work.

 

This year the methodology was adapted by GPTW to take into account the special context imposed by the pandemic and especially measured companies' efforts to take care of their people and operations.

 

Our results

According to the data provided by GPTW 84% of the respondents expressed that ISBEL is a great place to work .

Some of the aspects most highlighted by ISBEL staff were the good treatment given to people without any distinction of hierarchy, gender or skin color; the strong sense of teamwork and horizontal communication that exists throughout the organization; and the flexibility of the company to contemplate cases in which people need to be absent from work for personal matters (in all cases, with measurements above 90%).
