Evertec: ANDA's technology partner

ANDA, a civil association with more than 270,000 members, started on the road to renewing and upgrading its payment platform with Evertec.

The Asociación Nacional de Afiliados, ANDA, a civil association founded in 1933, with more than 270,000 members through which it benefits more than 600,000 Uruguayans, began in 2019 the path to renew and update its payment methods platform. The aim of this modernisation is to offer a better service to its members in terms of the means of payment to which they have access and the possibilities of use in the affiliated merchants. To this end, it relied on the Evertec Uruguay team as its technological and business partner.

Evertec has been present in Uruguay since 2017 following the acquisition of the PayTrue technology company, founded in 2003 to meet the demand and needs for payment systems at a national and international level. "We found in Evertec the solution and the technology we were looking for to make the change that would allow us to maintain our traditional service, but on a more modern and robust platform that allows us to be flexible, grow and face the new challenges that are coming in the world of means of payment," said Germán López, ANDA's IT Director.

The project foresees a total upgrade of ANDA's issuing and acquiring platform, where service is at the centre of the change, as well as scalability in the business, providing the possibility of offering new products to its members. In the third quarter of 2020, one of the first proposed milestones was achieved, which was the release of the acquiring platform, aimed at improving the service and access to ANDA's members.

Yaninna Mella, General Manager of ANDA, highlighted that "the process, support and service offered by Evertec was the key to our decision to work with them, in addition to the flexibility and possibilities offered by their platform. We are very satisfied with the evolution of the project and we are looking forward to the upcoming changes, as always thinking about the best solutions for our partners".
