According to data from the latest Annual Report of the IT Sector (2019), the gender gap between employees in the industry corresponds to a ratio of 69% men and 31% women; and this gap has been maintained for several years. In 2020, understanding the need and importance of working on concrete actions that promote equitable relations in terms of gender in the sector, the Cuti Board of Directors decided to create the "Gender Equity Commission".
The Gender Equity Commission seeks to raise awareness, reflect and generate concrete actions around the reality of the industry on this issue. The Commission aims to work on two main lines of action: the inclusion of more women in the IT industry, and gender equity in the sector.
In this sense, and in the framework of the International Day of Girls and Women in Science, which is celebrated this Thursday, February 11, Cuti's Gender Equality Commission presents the campaign "Equity in IT: Bridging the Gap". An initiative that brings together a series of actions that seek to make women in IT visible, but also intends to reinforce the commitment of industry leaders to build an industry with gender equality.
The campaign "Equity in IT" starts today February 11 and will run until March accompanying the international celebration of Women's Day (next March 8). We invite you to join this initiative and follow it on Cuti's social networks to learn about the different activities that we will be developing.
