It is well known that in development companies, in general, they have few resources specialized in testing and the usual practice they have is to put the most junior staff to test and, crudely speaking and for those who understand the sector, as a colleague tells us - if they "behave well" they are "promoted" to programming and if they "program badly" they are "downgraded" to testing.
What is the result of this common practice?
As a result, testing is perceived as a "second-rate" job, and as a consequence no one wants to take it as a career.
This behavior is also consistently supported by a practice of paying lower wages and fees for testing work than for development work.
Summarizing, then, why is it so important to outsource testing?
Outsourcing with companies that specialize in testing, allows to get motivated, dedicated, specialized and with the right skills to test applications, characteristics that allow a serious and thoughtful work to achieve the desired goal.
At STB, we have people who see testing as a career, they are prepared, motivated and dedicated only to this area, achieving the best value for our customers, with attention to detail and professionalism. Testing is not a "second choice", it is critical (as we mentioned in our last post), and therefore, it must be valued. If not in-house, then hiring a third party. That's what we are here for.
